Study on the Application of Foreign Periodicals in University Libraries

从读者、图书馆和院系资料室建设3个方面分析了制约高校图书馆外文期刊应用的主要因素,提出了提高外文期刊应用的7项改进措施,认为图书馆应主导协调各方面因素,发挥外文期刊最大价值。

The paper makes an analysis on the factors restricting the effective application and utilization of foreign periodicals in university libraries from the aspects of readers, the construction of library itself and that of college libraries. In response, seven improvement countermeasures are proposed, the major belief being that the library should coordinate various factors to make best use of foreign periodicals.
