A Brief Analysis of The Superfluous Words

文章从瞿秋白当时在共产党内与敌人狱中严酷处境的实际出发,分析了《多余的话》怎样以自己为靶子,评过摆错。认为瞿秋白是通过自我谴责的特殊曲折形式和开篇点题、首尾呼应、主线与辅线交错并行等最浅近常见的一般表现手法,来达到揭露当时党内重大隐患——王明路线——的明确目的的。

Proceeding from the real situations confronting Qu Qiu-bai both in the party and in the enemy＇s prison, this paper analyzes how Qu made himself a target of criticism in his The Superfluous Words. Qu made use of the form of self-approach, and managed to expose one of the major contemporary hidden dangers-Wang Ming＇s line-through some of the most common techniques of expression, which include making clear the purpose from the very beginning, echoing between the beginning and the ending, and crossing and paralleling of the major thread and the subordinate thread.
