关于翻译中“归化”、“异化”的新思考

New Analysis of "Domestication" and "Foreignization" in Translation Study

"归化"、"异化"作为两种基本的翻译策略是翻译研究和争论的焦点之一。在前人研究的基础上,重点界定了归化、异化的另一英文术语adaptation的概念并指出了它与其他英语术语的关系;明确了"归化"、"异化"和直译、意译在使用范围上的不同,对区别这两对概念提供了操作性强的标准。

This paper reconsiders domestication and foreignization on the basis of previous research. Two questions are discussed： one is the definition of adaptation and its difference from other equivalent terms; the other is the difference in scope between ＂domestication and foreignization＂ and ＂literal translation and free translation＂.
