Zhang Luxiang and Lu Liuliang have the same opinions. They support Neo - Confucianism and object to metaphysics which promote the development of Neo - Confucianism. Zhang , the mentor of Lu, exerts great influence upon Lu in academy and life. Lu respects Zhang, thinks highly of his academy and morals and develops his thoughts. It is of great significance for the study of Neo - Confucianism in Qing dynasty to research their associations.
