“变史家为说家”——《世说新语》中的张华条目研究

《世说新语》中涉及张华的七则条目,都是专注发扬他具有名士风度的风流雅事。不过,表面风雅之事实际更多呈现为当时文坛文士之间正常的文学活动,张华并非热衷清谈的狂热名士。刘义庆等人编纂"《世说》以玄韵为宗",所以收入子部的《世说新语》史料价值往往附着于小说家言,不过其所记载的片言只语仍然是我们展开研究张华会通儒学、玄理于政治生活实践颇有价值的线索。通过对比分析《世说新语》具体条目内容实际指向存在矛盾与令人不解之处,我们可以发现张华基本形象应是西晋著名作家和玄儒并蓄的入世名士。
