In this paper, the author introduced the principle of COD and BOD as well as the identifying relationship. Also the author elaborated the testing process of precision of regression equation and accuracy degree. The water quality testing of relatively stable polluted water as well as quick calculation of BOD5 values by using correlation have practical significance and economic value.
