大学语文以培养学生语言能力、传承传统文化和陶冶情操、培育人文精神为基本目的和主要任务。语文知识教育与人文知识教育具有相互涵盖的关系,大学语文提供人文著述供学生直接阅读,具有具体性,是培养高师生人文素质的重要渠道,它具有滋润灵魂的涵养功能和提高人生质量、升华生命境界的发展功能,具有其他学科无法比拟的优势。高校应全方位加强和改进大学语文教学,更好地发挥这门课程在高师生人文素质教育中的作用。

The aim of Chinese teaching is to develop students＇ language ability, carry on traditional culture, and cultivate humanistic spirit. Chinese knowledge and humanistic knowledge are overlapped, because college Chinese teaching provides direct way for reading in that it is a concret way to improve their humanitic quality. College Chinese teaching plays a role of nourishing soul and improving life quality and promoting life condition ,which is also an advantage that other subjects can not compete with it. Colleges and universities should strengthen and improve college Chinese teaching so as to bring its role in improving students＇ humanistic qualities into full play.
