Liu Defang is a famous folk story-teller in China. His special life decides the characteristic of his story-telling. On the basis of field work and text study, the paper deeply looks into the characteristic and performance of Liu Defang＇s folk story, in order to understand systematically Liu Defang and his story-telling.
