摘要
为了让人认识到对"自性"的发现就是存在的本质发现,禅宗用了种种说教方法,让人相信这个本质,以破除心灵的遮蔽。禅宗将直说、直显、机锋等说明方法结合起来,运用种种语言修辞形式,都在于开启自性或本质。其中"机锋"是解剖心灵症结的手术刀,"公案"是启人开悟的好教材,棒、喝、动作、形象等具体方法更以"别传"的形式打开了通向本质认识的方便门。从现代哲学的眼光看来,禅门的一切手段都在于消解主体的习惯性思维,消解语言的障碍,以期来到心灵自在状态而让"本质"自动呈现,在生存现实中直接实现真相观照。
There are various methods in Zen Buddhism of clearing the obstacles to unveiling the pure soul so as to realize the enlightenment that the essence and objective of existence lay on the clear spirit. Zen integrates a variety of ways of speaking out, demonstration and allegory through rhetoric expressions to destruct soul obstacles and let essence appear. Allegory is like the scalpel to undo the spirit knot, and the common cases are just like a textbook that can enlighten, supplemented by sticks, yells, actions and images to open the channel of exploring the essence. In a word, all of these approaches by Zen Buddhism go to dissolve the habitual subjective thoughts and clear the knot of language so as to come to the present soul as well as the present essence.
