Chinese Education in Great Transition——Mission and Development Plan

中国和世界都处在重大变革的时代,中国教育也正处于历史转折的关头。为了建立伟大社会,中国教育应担负起改造社会的历史使命。国家教育改革与发展规划就应当在深刻洞见未来社会发展、全面研究中国教育发展的经验和国际教育发展趋势的基础上,提出实现中国教育使命的指导思想、发展战略和制度框架。

Both China and the world are at a stage of great changes, so is Chinese education. Chinese education should carry on its historical mission of social reform so that the goal of building a great society can be fulfilled. The National Education Development Plan therefore should be made to propose the missions, strategies and framework of Chinese education in the future decades by looking into the history of Chinese education, development of international education and trends of future society.
