摘要
以帕尔默文化语言学"文化心象理论"来诠释毛泽东诗词中的水意象,通过对比辜正坤和许渊冲二个英译本,讨论水意象能否被完整对译的问题,认为毛泽东诗词中丰富的水意象还有待在进一步的文化交流中得到更完整的诠释。
This paper is written in an attempt to interpret the water images in Mao Zedong＇s poems through the theory of ＂culturally defined mental imagery＂ in Palmer＇s cultural linguistics. Taking the English translations of Gu Zhengkun＇s and Xu Yuanchong＇s, it discusses the possibility of translating water images and proposes that further cultural exchanges are needed in interpreting abundant water images in Man＇s poems.
