The Deep Thoughts on Ecology

本文探讨了生态学定义的演变过程以及几个需要思考的热点问题,认为生态学研究的是有机体与环境之间的相互关系,是一门独立于生物学之外的基础学科,是复杂系统内在规律的本质反映;生态学在学科分类体系中应为一级学科;生态学是一门自然科学,但具有亚哲学的性质,可称之为科学哲学;生态与经济是一个统一体,自然生态学是经济学的理论基础,经济学是生态学在人类社会的具体体现。上述观点和思想的提出对促进我国生态学的理论及应用研究具有十分重要的科学意义。

This paper presents the following conclusions by reviewing the history of the definition of ecology and discussing several hotspot issues those need rethinking. Ecology is a study of relationships between organisms and their environments, which is an basic discipline beyond biology; Ecology should be listed as top class in the System of Discipline Classification, which is one of the natural sciences that describes the general laws of complex systems and regarded as scientific philosophy; Ecology is economy and economy is ecology, as biological ecology is the theoretical base of economics and economy is the real performance of ecology in human society. Those thoughts and views are helpful to the research works on ecological theories and practices in China.
