如果把水路运输领域比作为一座繁花盛开的园地，那么引航无疑是这百花园里一朵奇葩。

Pilotage is not only an important part of port operations, but also an important part of the port platform. Chinese pilot was accompanied by the large-scale development of economic, foreign trade, ports and shipping and has achieved great development of its own. In 2008, foreign ships arrived in Chinese ports reaching 141.4 thousand ships and the Chinese pilot led nearly a thousand trips of daily average; of the total tonnage of inward foreign ships reaching 2.886 billion tons, the average tonnage per vessel foreign ships over 2 million tons; arriving foreign ship's crew reached 2.6749 million passengers, a daily average of 15000 foreign ship crew members in or out of Chinese ports. These ordinary real numbers show that the Chinese pilot in the reform and opening up has developed by leaps and bounds.
