Artistic Conception: The Unit in Translating Poems

翻译单位的研究在国内和国外都取得了一定的进展,诗歌作为文学形式中特殊的一种,必然有着自己的翻译单位。诗歌翻译有别于其它类型的翻译,对其的翻译必然会涉及到翻译诗歌背后的文化,同时,由于源文本中诗歌的形式是不可再现的,因此,诗歌的翻译不可能在词、词组或句子上一一对应,其翻译单位必然是在语篇的位次之上的,即意境。

The study of translation unit has achieved much progress both at home and abroad. Poetry as a special form of Literature has its own translation unit. Different with other translation pattern, the poem translation must concern with the culture of the translating poem. Due to the poem form can＇t reappear, the poem translation can not correspond with the word, word group or sentence one by one. The unit in translating poems is in the higher level, which is the artistic conception.
