Development of the software on the diamond bit type selection according to formation rock property

岩石性质是金刚石钻头针对性选型的依据,因此,可以在弹性力学的基础上,利用测井资料进行金刚石钻头的选型。分析了根据地层岩石性质进行金刚石钻头选型的理论依据,归纳了选型方法,采用Visual Basic 6.0语言,开发了金刚石钻头选型软件。该软件采用类似3步法的优选法:第1步确定使用何种用途的金刚石钻头;第2步确定使用金刚石钻头的地层;第3步采用一个综合公式进行计算,得出成本最低的钻头。

The diamond bit selection is closely related to the rock property of the drilled formation. The rock property is the basis for targeted selection of the diamond bit. Therefore, based on elasticity theory, the diamond bit type can be selected according to well logging data. The theoretical basis for diamond bit type selection according to formation rock property is discussed and the methods for the type selection are summarized in this paper. Adopting Visual Basic 6.0, the software of the diamond bit selection was developed. The software adopts a three-step optimum seeking method. The first step is to ensure the purpose of the diamond bit; the second step is to guarantee the formation where the bit will be used; the third step is to use a comprehensive formula to calculate and obtain the bit of the minimum cost.
