“珠三角”是我国经济改革开放的最前沿，也是我国经济最为活跃的区域。时代及经济的发展促使“珠三角”不断扩大自己的腹地，推动与周边省区和珠江流域各省区的经济合作，构筑一个优势互补、市场广阔的区域经济体系。中共中央政治局委员、广东省委书记张德江于2003年7月首次提出“泛珠三角”这个概念，并逐渐得到了各省区的积极响应，从而实现从小珠三角到大珠三角的飞跃。

In today＇s world, market integration is the trend of economic development, and also the internal demand of economic development of ＂Pan-PearlRiver Delta＂ region.＂Pan-Pearl River Delta＂ is the country＇s largest body of economic cooperation, it has vast hinterland and abundant resources of eight provinces, two mod- ern logistics industry and financial industry-based service center, namely Hong Kong and Macao, the two Spe- cial Administrative Region as well as Guangdong＇s major manufacturing base of the economic advantages. The process of integration will promote the regional economic development more rapidly, stably and benefit the opti- mizing allocation of resources of ＂9 ＋2＂ area, and enhance the overall strength and regional competitiveness.
