摘要
世界上每一个现存的民族都有自己的文化传统，而文学则是民族文化的基本组成部分，是民族国家形成主体文化传统的关键因素，是构成民族历史集体文化记忆的重要载体，是民族文化的核心组成部分，反映的是一个民族的文化心态。
Identity is a very important issue in culture studies. Singapore developed a multinational and muhicuhural nation due to the history, geography, politics and economy. Therefore, the identity issue in Singapore is a cultural sample to a certain extent. Literature reflects the spirits and cultural psychology of a certain age as a social ideology. English literature deeply reflects the ethnic group identity puzzle and cultural identity puzzle in the course of Singapore people＇s identity as the main literature style in Singapore.
