Urban Role of Large-Scale Railway Stations

历经百年的铁路客站与城市的关系越来越紧密,在城市中承担的角色也越来越重要,是城市发展进程中不可或缺的促进因素。大型铁路客站作为带动城市人口和服务功能集聚的触媒,对城市发展的促进作用越来越大,也由此发展成为高效率、快节奏、以换乘为主导、带有综合服务性质的城市综合交通枢纽,从"城市的大门"演变成为新的"都市中心"。文章阐述铁路客站城市角色的历史变迁,分析大型铁路客站对城市结构和功能的影响,提出了中国当代大型铁路客站基于城市角色的规划要点,对当代铁路客站的规划建设具有一定的指导意义。

With its increasingly important role they play in cities, railway stations have become an indispensable stimulus in urban development. Large scale stations have greatly facilitated the urban development as a medium of gathering and dispersing people accommodating service function, thus, it has become a comprehensive transport hub of the city with intermodal services of high efficiency and fast pace, and also has gone through the shift from a gateway of the city to a metropolitan center. The paper illustrates the historical shift of the urban role of railway stations, analyzes the impact that large scalerailway station made on urban structure and function and puts forward the key points of the planning of contemporary large scale railway stations basing on its urban role, which has some guiding signiocance to the planning and construction of contemporary railway stations.
