20世纪中国思想文化界的主题是启蒙,但百年的启蒙工作并非顺坦。作者通过对百年中国启蒙思想史的梳理,认为其原因既在传统的思想语法之束缚,又在现代学人对影响中国文化定向的一些关键问题缺乏深层次的理性判断,特别是作为启蒙思想者,其自身却又大多处在待启蒙的思想状态。

Enlightenment is the theme of Chinese thought and culture fields in twenty century, but the enlightenment meets many difficulties. The author studied one hundred thought history of modern Chinese and finds two reasons leading to this result. One is the scholars being limited by traditional thinking, another is that modern scholars lack of rational judgments in some key questions of Chinese culture. , especially as enlightenment scholars, scholars need enlighten too.
