The soft starting cabinet of No.3 transformer substation in west district of Rizhao Port often trip when it is running,which has impacted production.This paper analyses the system from all aspects and finds out that the improper setting of the parameters for the soft starter is the main reason.It puts forward improving measures.After reforming,the trouble has been cleared and the service life of soft starter has been raised.
