Hot dip galvanized on the strip surface is one of the best methods to increase the corrosion resistance. The surface quality, mechanical property, welding property and forming property are the key factors for the customers to select the hot dip galvanized steel. The surface quality will affect not only the appearance of hot dip galvanizing steel strip, but also the employing properties. So how to improve the surface quality of hot dip galvanizing steel strip is one of the most important technologies in iron and steel industry. The factors influencing the surface quality are summarized according to the process of the hot dip galvanizing line, and some measures improving the surface quality of hot dip galvanizing steel strip are discussed too.
