An Analysis of the Thematic Structure in English Ad.Texts

摘要 以Halliday的系统功能语言学中语篇的三个纯理功能为基础,从语篇功能的主位系统出发,以100篇分别选自英国、美国和加拿大的酒店概述英文语篇为例,尝试分析其主位结构,论证主位分析在英语酒店概述语篇中的应用。 This paper is mainly based on the thematic structure of the textual function from the theory of the three textual metafuctiuns in Hallidayan Systemic Functional Linguistics. Through this theory, 100 English texts of hotel description taken from the United Kingdom, the United States and Canada, are applied as the linguistic source material for the analysis of the thematic structure in English texts of advertisement. Through the careful research and statistics, we can gain an insight into the application of the theme - theme structure in English texts of advertisement as hotel description.
