摘要
四、六级网考能不同程度地抑制越演越烈的作弊现象,提高考试的效度和信度,其意义还在于它能有效地帮助实现教育部本轮大学英语教学改革的两大目的:提高英语学生的综合实用能力,尤其是听说能力,以及建设基于计算机与网络的英语教学模式。但研究表明,四、六网考的反拨作用也是很大的,如新闻内容的采用,听力权重的加大,考试表现出来的强制性等等,都会对大学英语的健康发展带来一定的影响。文章在充分肯定网考的同时,认为体制和性质要有相应的变革。
The significance of CET iBT goes beyond its contribution to the reduction of cheating, and the improve- ment of its validity and reliability. It helps to realize the goals of the college English reform initiated by MEO : to develop students' ability to use English in a well-rounded way, especially in listening and speaking and establish the computer- and Internet based teaching models on campuses. The study, however, reveals some high washback on college English teaching in terms of the use of western news reports as listening materials, the high ratio of listening in the exam, and the compulsory nature. The paper urges the necessity of change of the nature of CET should CET-iBT be successful.
