摘要 通过与一汽的合资,通用汽车开辟了在中国的第二战场,上汽已不是通用的唯一合作伙伴。接下来,考验通用中国"走钢丝" During the past two years,GM China President Kevin E Wale's main task was leading GM(This increasingly shrinking U.S.auto industry giant has been stripping assets to survive) to expand its footprint in the Chinese market, rather than wholly bet on SAIC. FAW Group,1,600 km away, has reinforced Wale's hope for the future. On August 31,being a JV of FAW and GM,FAW Light Commercial Vehicles Co.Ltd.was founded.Parallel to China's passenger car market, the light commercial vehicle market is regarded as a second business front by GM. This move makes the relationship between GM and SAIC more subtle.Previously, there were rumors that cooperation between the two parties had loosened. In February, another rumor, that GM intended to sell its stake in Shanghai GM,also spread. At the end of March,it was reported that SAIC may take oxer GM's Buick brand. In addition, more rumors spread involving JV SAIC-GM-Wuling,a group among which GM has been undergoing a constant effort to seek a greater voice. On September 15,Wale,troubled by these rumors, accepted an exclusive interview with'China Entrepreneur'in Shanghai, denied all these speculations from the outside world. However the fact is,a more complicated situation, even a hidden danger is lying in wait for GM to handle.
