The surface states of electrods affect remarkably on the electromotive forces (EMF) of galvanic cells.The relation between the EMF and surfacial dispersities of the electrodes has been derived by using small cones as surface model of the electrodes.The results have indicated that the more coarse surface of reactant electrode or the smoother surface of product electrode,the larger the EMF.And the effects of surface states of electrodes on the heat of reaction,the equilibrium constant,the entropy for reaction and enthalpy for reaction of galvarnic cells have been discussed.
