The temperature rising behavior of Co/ZrO 2 catalysts with different Co content and the activity of 10%Co/ZrO 2 catalyst for CH 4 partial oxidation to syngas under microwave irradiation have been studied. The results show that the temperature rising rate and the highest temperature increase with increasing Co content. Compared with the conventional heating mode, the temperature of the catalytic bed is much lower and there is a higher selectivity for CO under microwave irradiation.
