摘要 [目的]阐明XML在生物信息学研究中的重要地位与作用。[方法]通过详细阐述XML的基本原理,系统地比较和分析XML与其他应用于生物数据管理的标记语言包括HTML、BSML、BioML等的利与弊,以期阐明XML作为一种数据语言在生物信息学中的重要作用。[结果]XML是一个很有前途的扩展性标准语言,是生物信息学数据库内部数据交换的重要枢纽。[结论]XML是用于生物信息学的各个领域中生物数据管理最有效的标记语言。 [ Objective] The study aimed to clarify the important position and role of XML in research of bioinformaties. [ Method] By clarif- ying the basic principle of XML in detail, XML was compared and analyzed with other languages systematically such as HTML, BSML, BioML and so on in order to elucidate the importance of XML in bioinformatics as a data language. [ Result ] XML is an emerging standard for structuring documents, and it plays a viral role in data exchanging among bioinformatics databases. [ Conclusion ] XML is the most effective markup language of biological data management in bioinformatics.
