"公民教育"就是通过一定教育为国家培养合格公民。公民教育的基本目的是培养公民意识,发展公民素质。社会主义和谐社会是一个民主法制、公平正义、充满活力的社会。公民教育对构建社会主义和谐社会具有政治、经济、文化和社会四个方面的价值,而社会主义和谐社会的构建对公民教育的发展和完善同样具有极大的环境效应。公民教育与构建社会主义和谐社会之间是一种相互促进、相互作用的辩证关系。

The construction of a harmonious socialist society is helpful to the development of civic education and improvement the equally significant environmental effects. Civic education and building a socialist harmonious society is a mutually reinforcing each other and interaction each other.
