Limitation of Absorption in Insulation Testing and Its Countermeasures

The effects of the insulation resistance, temperature and capacitance on absorption are analyzed and should point out that the absorption as the only insulation testing index is defective. Countermeasures used to overcome the limitation of the absorption is presented.
