Two distinct phases may be seen in the theatre of the Liberated Areas,in both terms of ideas and artistic style.Theatre in the earlier phase had achieved a high level,yet remained underexplored.This article tries to outline conditions of theater in the earlier phase,analyzing its artistic characteristics and exploring its historical context.
