An exhibition illustrating the ups and downs of China on the road of national revival since 1840 opened Friday at the National Museum of China. The exhibition, titled the Road of Rejuvenation, showed important historical events that Chinese people have experienced since 1840, when China was forced to open its door to foreign powers after the defeat in the Opium War. With 980 pictures and some valuable relics, the exhibition is divided into five chapters according to different time periods.
