This paper analyzes various reasons of the uneven settlement of buildings, and in the light of the problem of the leaning of buildings caused by uneven settlement, classifies the correcting methods for leaning buildings, advances the concepts of promoting the settlement actively and limiting the settlement passively, and discusses the mechanism and effects of different correcting methods.
