论宋翔凤以《公羊》解《论语》的得失

On Success and Failure in Song Xiangfeng's Applying Gong Yang to Explain The Analects

宋翔凤是清代常州学派的中坚人物,以庄氏真传说《论语》,著《论语说义》。宋氏认为《春秋》微言莫备于《论语》,故《论语》中的"大义"也须从《春秋公羊》中求之。这不但为常州庄氏的《春秋公羊》学开辟了新的途径,也是古往今来众多《论语》著述中最别开生面的著作。本文从著作缘起、研究方法、学术特色等方面作了得失评说,阐述了其人其书在中国思想史上的意义。

Song Xiangfeng, a backbone figure of Changzhou school during Qing Dynsaty, used to explain The Analects with Zhuang＇ s teachings. Song wrote a book entitled Comments on The Analect s, in which he believed that the truth of the Spring and Autumn Annals should lie in The Analects. Therefore, the real meaning of The Analects can be found in Gong Yang. This not only opened a new field for the Zhuang＇ s school of Gong Yang, but the book is also the most spectacular one that tries to explain The Analects. This article expounds the success and failure in Song＇ s Comments on The Analects from the origin, the research methods, academic features of the book, and the significant role that Song played in Chinese ideological history.
