虽然我和我的新室友住在一起才刚到第三个星期，我已经对她大起疑心。我能看出来，她在隐藏些什么事情。我很清楚她第一节课要到上午11点才上，但是她每天上午9点来钟就带着书出门了。而且在外面一待就是一整天，就连《我们的日子》播出时也不露面，她不像我们，我们这些人的日程安排都是刻意围着这部美剧播出的“庄严”时刻转的。
It was only the third week of our domestic^1） union, and already I had major doubts about my new roommate. She was hiding something, I could tell. I knew for a fact^2） that her first class wasn＇t until 11：00 A.M., but she was out the door by 9：00 A.M. every morning with her books. She＇d stay out all day, not even showing up for Days of Our Lives^3） ,unlike the rest of us who had deliberately designed our schedules around this sacred hour.
