高职高专英译汉翻译教学与学生翻译技巧的培养

Exploration on the Teaching of English-Chinese Translation and Cultivation of Translating skills for Vocational College Students

翻译能力是高职高专学生重要的英语技能之一,却容易在实际教学中被忽视。文章针对目前翻译教学现状,指出学生翻译水平低的原因在于:学生对词义的错误理解、不清楚英汉两种语言的语法结构差异和中西文化差异,等等。同时指出:要改变这种状况,学生应树立正确的翻译学习态度,重视翻译理论和技巧的运用,教师引导进行正确的英译汉的翻译实践,以及注重传播文化背景知识,使学生了解不同文化的差异。通过师生双方共同努力,逐步提高学生的翻译水平。

Translation is one of the most important English skills,whereas in the teaching of English-Chinese translation for students at vocational colleges,it is completely ignored.Based on the present situation of translating teaching,this paper briefly indicates the main reasons for the students＇ low level in translations are because students often misunderstand the meanings of words and phrases in the sentences or paragraphs.They do not know the grammar and culture differences between two languages.Some effective measures are advanced that teachers should help students have correct learning attitudes and let them know the differences between two languages.Students should master the theories and skills of English-Chinese translation,and have more practice in order to improve their English-Chinese translating ability gradually.
