Transition of traditional Chinese medicine and the special quality of editors

Currently traditional Chinese medicine （TCM） is in a period of transition from traditional style to modern style with un- precedentedly large research and subject scale. The change brings hope for the modernization of TCM, but it also contains enormous risks and challenges. TCM journals, an important base for the de- velopment and dissemination of TCM, play an important role in the transition. So, the journal editorial team as the soul of journal needs special quality more than the general in this period, such as the innovative thinking, rich knowledge, personal charm, sensitive to visual and the spirit of hardworking and so on. Only in this way can editors grasp the opportunity, make journal work closely with the transition, and promote and guide the healthy development of the transition.
