Like lubricating system and combustion system, the cooling system of a watercooled diesel engine can have an important effect on the reliability, durability, economyand drivability of the engine. It is required, therefore, to overcome such difficultiesas cavitation, corrosion and fouling so as to ensure a permanently good working conditionfor the engine cooling system. In this paper, elaboration is focused on chamicalprotection of the cooling system of heavy duty vehicle diesel engines.
