Sports games, an effective form of physical education, are playing an increasingly important role in the teaching practice. This paper discusses the role, compiling principles and teaching principles of sports games, as well as some issues which should be paid attention to in the teaching, provides a theoretical and practical reference for the teachers so as to promote the implementation and development of physical education.
