Cultivating the Students’ Interest in the Teaching of English Extensive Reading

在英语泛读教学中,培养学生学习英语的兴趣至关重要。泛读是一门实践课,教学是双向活动,只有激发学生学习英语的兴趣,才能调动其主观能动性,提高泛读教学的效果。

In the teaching of English extensive reading, it＇s very important to develop students＇ interest in learning English. In learning a language, interest is the best teacher. Interest is a positive psychological tendency in the students＇ learning process. English extensive reading is a practical course and English teaching is a two-way activity. Therefore,the teacher＇s enthusiasm alone is not enough. Only by stimulating students＇ interest can we mobilize their initiative to improve the effectiveness of English teaching. This paper is intended to look into how to develop students＇ interest in the teaching of extensive reading to develop students＇ interest in learning English from different aspects.
