在陀思妥耶夫斯基小说中有一类精神现象颇为引人注目,那就是精神自渎,具体表现为精神上自我蔑视、自我折磨和自我嘲笑,并且在这种自轻自贱中体验到一种难以言传的快感。精神自渎现象在陀思妥耶夫斯基笔下主要表现在三种人物形象上:一类是以自嘲为乐的"贵族老爷",另一类是在屈辱的褶皱里体验出快感的"穷人"和"小丑",第三类是以"地下室人"为代表的思想者。

A pleasure beyond words is experienced from those. The selfblashphemy can be classified into three kinds ： the first kind is the nobles who enjoy self- mock; the second is the poor and clowns who get the pleasure from the humiliations, and the third is the thinkers represented by the basementmen.
