The Large- scale engineering perspective combines science, technology, non- technology elements and engineering practice to form an integral engineering action system and pays much attention to practice, systemization, integrality and comprehensiveness of engineering. Under the guidance of the educational idea of the large - scale engineering perspective, along with the theme of engineering, the teaching reform and practice of the course of mechanical manufacturing fundamentals should be carried out in the following ways： embodying the connotation of engineering in idea, orientation and goal of curriculum, laying an emphasis on the characteristics of engineering in establishing of network engineering library, paying attention to engineering practice in practical teaching reform, and mixing the features of engineering in the cultivation of teacher team.
