一百多年来,各种版本、体例的《中国文学史》相关著作已有一千多部,但总体质量却不容乐观。文学与文化历来就是水乳交融的,文化是文学的根,中国古代文学的辉煌自然孕育于中国传统文化的土壤,所以如果削弱、忽视甚至离开了中国传统文化,要想真正读懂中国古代文学那是不可想象的,而这正是目前大多数《中国文学史》著作的致命缺陷。

Since 100 years,there has been over 1000 versions of ＂History of Chinese Literature＂ though it is far from satisfaction.Literature and history are interrelated while culture is the root.The ancient Chinese literature grows up in Chinese traditional culture.The vital shortcoming in most ＂History of Chinese Literature＂ works is the inadequate cultural information.
