北京市宣武区网吧控烟效果分析

Impact of Smoking Ban on Internet Bar in Xuanwu District,Beijing,2008

目的了解网吧控烟效果及其影响因素。方法随机抽取北京市宣武区20家网吧,调查网吧吸烟区设置、网民吸烟情况、网民及网吧经营者对控烟的态度等。结果完成调查18家网吧,18家网吧均未按要求设置吸烟区、均有人正在吸烟,网民正在吸烟率21%;调查网民17人,82%(14/17)的网民对网吧禁烟持反对或无所谓的态度;调查网吧经营者6人,均担心禁烟会影响生意。结论宣武区网吧烟草污染严重,控烟效果较差。

Objective To survey the impact of the smoking ban on internet bar since it was issue on May 1, 2008 in Xuanwu district, Beijing, and identify the factors which influence the intemet user smoke and provide suggestions for strengthen the smoking control in interact bars. Methods Twenty interact bars were selected randomly in Xuanwu district, Beijing. The information on smoking situation were obtained by site observation including whether there were smokers, whether there were smoking areas, whether put up the posters in internet bars and so on. The internet users and the internet bar managers were interviewed for their attitude about the smoking ban. Results All the internet bars did not set up smoking areas. The smoking rates in internet bars ranged from 4% to 39% with the mean smoking rate 21%. There was a negative relationship between the number of posters on smoking ban and smoking rate in the internet bar. Eighty two percent of the internet users were against or not care about tobacco control in internet bars. The reason of the intemet bars managers did not implement the smoking ban completely was that they worried about the smoking ban could affect their business. Conclusion Smoking in the intemet bars still are very common although the smoking ban was issued since May 1, 2008. The intemet bar should increase the posters number in order to reduce smoking. The government needs to put more effort on controlling smoking in internet bars.
