The Future of Catalogers——Metadata Cataloger

摘要 分析数字环境对编目工作的冲击和影响,剖析编目员的现状,从编目部门名称的变化、社会相关机构招聘启事和相关文献阐述三个角度探讨,指出元数据编目员是未来编目员的定位,并在此基础上总结元数据编目员的职能和资格,以期能为当前的编目员提供建议和参考。 This paper analyzes the impact and influence of digital era on cataloging and points out the status-quo of catalogers. Based on the analysis of the name change of cataloging department, wanted advertisements of related organizations and relevant papers, this paper aims to forecast the changing role of metadata catalogers and discusses the responsibilities and qualifications of metadata catalogers. The results provide suggestions and references for catalogers.
