摘要
George Lakoff等认知语言学家认为习语是概念系统的产物，与人类的认知是息息相关的。英语服饰习语是语言习得中服饰文化内涵积淀的体现。本文基于概念隐喻、概念转喻及规约常识三种认知机制对服饰习语进行了认知分析，并结合服饰历史文化知识，探讨了如何正确理解与服饰相关的英语习语的意义及文化内涵。
The cognitive view of George Lakoff and other cognitive linguists holds that idioms are the products of our conceptual system, and are closely related to human cognition. English costume-related idioms embody profound cultural features. The paper analyses idioms from the cognitive perspective in order to fully understand the costume-related idioms.
