周越然与李慕白的莎士比亚研究

Zhou Yueran and Li Mubai’s Shakespeare Studies

在中国莎士比亚研究的历程中，对一些曾经涉足莎士比亚研究的文人，或者由于历史资料的匮乏，或者由于研究者视野的局限，或者由于这些文人自身历史的原因，我们在以往的研究中对他们往往重视、研究得不够，对他们早期的莎士比亚介绍、研究的有关情况往往语焉不详。因此。造成了中国莎士比亚研究中的缺失。本文在梳理有关史料的基础上，对周越然的《莎士比亚》和李慕白的《莎士比亚评传》进行了评述，并对他们的莎学经历进行了探讨。

There were some literators who had been involved in the course of Shakespeare study in China. Owing to the lack of historical materials, the limitations of researchers＇ visions or these literators＇ own historical reasons, we didn＇t pay much attention to them and didn＇ t explore in detail their introductions and studies of Shakespeare in our previous studies. As a result, this negligence led to the deficiency of Shakespeare study in China. This paper aims at reviewing some related historical materials, remarking Zhou Yueran＇ s Shakespeare and Li Mubai＇ s A Critical Biography ofShakespeare, and discussing their experiences of Shakespeare studies.
