The reasons, projects and results of the modification for 5# continuous caster at the 3rd Steelmaking Plant of the Lianyuan Iron & Steel (Group) Co Lid (LIS(G)C) have been discussed in this paper. After modifying the continuous caster is though! of meeting the requirements for a high-effieient continuous caster.
