本文首次报道了四川省境内发生鸡腺胃型传染性支气管炎的发病及确诊情况。经流行病学调查、临床症状观察、病理学剖检、鸡马立克氏病实验室检验及常规细菌分离培养和病毒分离鉴定等，确诊了病原为嗜腺胃型传染性支气管炎病毒，指出了由该病原引起的病鸡不能用Ｍａｓ株和Ｔ株保护，而必须用分离株制备的疫苗才有免疫保护作用。
