In the May 4th period of feminist movement, the meaning of the female emancipation was understood from the social emancipation, individual emancipation and class liberation. Social emancipation refers to the emancipation of women from the unreasonable social relations to achieve the emancipation of the class; individual emancipation refers to the emancipation of women from repression to emancipate their own to achieve the liberation of individual life ; class emancipation refers to the emancipation of women from the unreasonable class relations to achieve the emancipation of all human beings . The understanding and defining of the female emancipation of thinkers in May 4th period have made deep impact of Chinese feminism.
