Policy and Development of Recurrent Education in Taiwan's Universities

回流教育(recurrent education)正广受世界各国重视。台湾从1996年开始,颁布一系列重要政策,为大学校院回流教育提供了完善的基础与支持,促成了回流教育在大学的蓬勃发展,亦对台湾社会的发展产生了正面效应。本文旨在探讨台湾大学校院回流教育政策规划与推行,进而分析其发展特色与效益,并进行未来展望。

recurrent education was officially presented. Taiwan has announced a series of important policies since 1996 in order to support and provide the basis for recurrent education in its universities. Those policies also contribute to the flourish of recurrent education and benefite the social development of Taiwan with regard to the human capital and social capital. This paper aims to explore the policy planning and development of recurrent education in Taiwan＇s universities. Furthermore, this paper discusses the characteristics and benefits of the development of recurrent education in Taiwan＇s universities. At the end of the paper, some suggestions are offered.
